Eugene Cash has practiced meditation since 1981. Eugene Cash is a Spirit Rock teacher and the founding teacher (since 1993) of San Francisco Insight, Eugene is also the co-founder and co-teacher of the Dedicated Practitioners' Program for senior students at Spirit Rock. In addition, Eugene teaches the Diamond Approach® (the Ridhwan work of Hameed Almass) in San Francisco and Holland. He is passionate about teaching mindfulness, inquiry and waking up in daily life and draws from both the Vipassana tradition and the Zen school of Buddhism. As a psychotherapist he has worked extensively with those who are ill, the dying and the bereaved. Kittisaro: Kittisaro spent 15 years as a Theravada monk in the Forest School of Ajahn Chah and helped establish Chithurst and Hartridge monasteries in the UK. He has also studied and practised from the Chinese lineage of Master Hsuan Hua the last 25 years. He lives at Dharmagiri Hermitage which he runs along with his wife Thanissara. The last 14 years they have facilitated retreats internationally focusing on a blend of Theravada and Mahayana. JP Meyer - is an artist, part-time teacher and manager of Dharmagiri Buddhist Hermitage. Shortly after his first meditation retreat in 1994 he swapped the corporate life for that of a full-time art student, graduating with distinction in 1999 and since then has a number of successful exhibitions. He travelled and spent many months in the ashrams, meditation centres and Zen monasteries of India, Sri Lanka and the U.S. Thanissara: Thanissara began meditation practice in the Burmese school in 1975 and lived for 12 years as a Theravada nun. She teaches internationally and has been awarded an MA in Buddhist Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute in the UK. Max Weier has been studying and practicing Ch’i Kung, Tai Chi and different forms of Eastern mysticism, notably Buddhism with various teachers and master in Aisa and the West for well over 20 years. He lives in Switzerland and teaches in Europe, UK, India and South Africa. Pamela Weiss is founder of Appropriate Response (www.appropriateresponse.com) and executive Coach and trainer of coaches and was senior faculty for over a decade of New Ventures West, a SF based coach training company. She has worked with a wide variety of teams and organisations, including Genentech, Oracle, Starbucks, AT&T, Cisco, Intel. Pamela has practiced Zen for twenty years, including several years of monastic training, is a Buddhist teacher and is now currently in training with Jack Kornfield at Spirit Rock. |
