We Belong

In a world that often fragments our attention and sense of self, this retreat offers a simple and profound remembering: we belong. We belong to the living Earth, to community, and to the wider unfolding of life.

Whatever you are carrying — grief or gratitude, longing or uncertainty, tenderness or joy — you are welcome. This retreat is an invitation to come home: to your body, to your breath, to the quiet wisdom that lives beneath words and striving.

Join Phumla Shongwe and Shivani Ranchod for a five-day silent retreat held in a gentle, spacious container of noble silence. Through shared practice and inward listening, we cultivate reconnection — with ourselves, with one another, and with the sacred rhythms of the natural world that hold and sustain us.

The retreat weaves together complementary practices that support embodied presence, insight, and integration:

  • Meditation — Resting into stillness and awareness, allowing the mind to soften and settle.

  • Embodied movement — Mindful yoga and somatic practices that invite aliveness, sensitivity, and ease in the body.

  • Breathwork — Intentional breathing practices to support regulation, clarity, and vitality.

  • Nature immersion — Deepening our sense of belonging through direct relationship with the land and elements.

  • Devotional practice — Simple ritual, chant, and intention to touch into the sacred and nourish the heart.

Held in silence, the retreat offers a quiet paradox: in the absence of speech, belonging becomes more audible. It is in the stillness that we begin to listen more deeply — to ourselves, to one another, and to what is asking to be known. Beyond roles, stories, and expectations, we remember who we are and where we belong.
